Who qualifies?
Media services at National Association of REALTORS® conferences are for working journalists whose primary source of employment is reporting the news for media organizations.
To register as a member of the press, you must be employed as a working member of the media with a verifiable news organization (other than your own website) or be a freelancer with two confirmed real estate-related story placements within the past 6 months (writing should be freelancers’ primary profession).
Freelancers and bloggers will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please submit clips with your byline or a link to articles with your byline for review to swiskerchen@realtors.org. If articles meet the criteria, NAR will send press registration information.
Bloggers. Company branded blogs and those affiliated with a service, product or other type of business will not be considered. Blogs must be established for a minimum of one year prior to the conference, adhere to a standard of professional journalism, be independently hosted, and be regularly updated with new content (within the past three months) on topics related to the real estate industry.
Real estate professionals, vendors and exhibitor personnel must register as attendees. We cannot grant media registration to real estate industry professionals who have blogs, write content for various outlets or host shows.
How to Register
News media can register in advance by contacting Sara Wiskerchen, 202-383-1013 or swiskerchen@realtors.org.
